Developing Minds is closed November 27th and 28th
It is my understanding and I do apologize for any confusion, that there is a rumor that Developing Minds is closing. We are NOT closing. We have been advising families that we were going to start a pilot program at Woodlyn Elementary back in September. Today was the last MORNING for ONLY our AM program at OLP. Our morning program will now be at Woodlyn Elementary starting on Monday Nov 10th.
With that said, let me say this as well.
The after school program is still running as usual at OLP. We will still pick up your child from RSD and bring them to our OLP site. Since, RSD has already given me permits to run a before and an after school program at Woodlyn Elementary, I am starting my before program at their school on Monday Nov 10th. ONLY THE AM PROGRAM! Sorry for the short notice but I just got the key to their school today and I want to start this right away in order to help more Woodlyn families. I will send an e-mail this weekend to all the families involved with our AM PROGRAM.
and explain to you what entrance door at Woodlyn Ele will be open in order for you to drop off your child. Please allow your child to bring something to do, as I do not have any materials at Woodlyn since I just received the key today. THX
There are NEW family folders in the Art Room on the ground floor. Please check your families folder weekly!
Ask you child which colored TEAM they are on. There is a TEAM SCHEDULE hanging in the Art Room. You will be able to locate your child by using this information when you come at the end of the day :)

At 4pm (after homework is completed), each team will rotate to different Edutainment classrooms during the week. Students will have 2 BLOCKS OF 45 MINUTES daily. They will have time in the Gym, Gaming Room, Rec Room, Art Room, Computer Room, Science Lab and Cooking Class as well.
Our Edutainment Center has multiple businesses at one location. Children have the free will to drop in and out of anyone of the Centers. Each Center has only ONE FOCUS within our One FOCUS EDUTAINMENT CENTER
We focus on an Edutainment experience. That is our ONE and primary focus. The children are free to come and go at will on a daily or weekly basis. Edutainment is a combination of education and entertainment. We are not required to have a DPW Certificate of Compliance. We were researched by "The Office of Child Development and Early Learning. Departments of Education and Public Welfare. Southeast Region Bureau of Certification. Regional Director Carmen E. Martin". We do have a letter from Carmen E. Martin on file for review.
All our volunteers have criminal background checks on file. Our staff are voluteers or independent specialists hired to show your child how to enjoy an edutainment experience.
